We are starting a Digital Revolution. I am a lover of analog, I was born in the wrong time. I love fountain pens, papers, crayons and paint. I love natural materials, rain, rust and tactile experiences. I like making lists, doodling, trying new techniques, daydreaming of faraway lands. I have wanted to teach and experience a class that helps us express ourselves in our own unique way.

Introducing a new class concept:

This is something I have been working on in my head for months, dreaming and scheming. This is something I feel strongly about, something that can be individual and personal to each person in the class.

I just could not figure out the vessel to house the project. I did not want to build an entire book in case someone new wanted to join midway or missed a class and felt stuck. I wanted people to be free to express themselves in a journal that did not have constraints.

Everything changed in July when I discovered the perfect binder to keep it in. (P.S. You can choose to bind the pages yourself if you do not want to use the book I have found)

The Class

An Art Journal Class with a purpose. Each month we will be making a number of background pages using different substrates, products and/or techniques. There will also be a list of exercises which will you help you to continue to make art throughout the month.
