I just got back a few days ago from the Craft & Hobby Trade Show in California (CHA). This is the trade show where craft manufacturers, store owners, designers, the industry press and teachers converge to see the new product releases, trends and ideas for the coming year. I am lucky enough to be able to attend this industry trade show twice a year. It is fun to go and see all the new products being introduced, the amazing inspirational samples and to catch up with friends. On the down side, it is also exhausting, meetings start at 7:00am and I am not often back in the hotel till midnight. . so it makes for a very long week.
I thought it might be fun to give you a recap of my week and what some of my favorite finds were. As I took a lot of photos, this post will be spread over a few days.
This is the entrance to the huge convention center
The plaza outside is quite pretty and this year they had food trucks where you could buy lunch. As I have never had lunch from a food truck this was fun for me and it tasted way better than the food in the convention center.
The convention center is quite large and I did a lot of walking to see all the new and hot items.
One of the trends this year is on Home Decor and I could see a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.
The Graphic 45 booth is always so inspirational, they have an amazing design team and their booth is stuffed full of home decor pieces made with their collections.
You can see the three new collections that will be delivered to the store soon by clicking this link: G45 Collections
Here are some of the examples in their booth:
I was lucky enough to win some samples from their booth again this year. Three vintage pieces and a couple of party decorations now live in the store. Come on in and take a look.
Spellbinders completely redid their booth this year and it was stunning.
Did you notice the pallets in their booth that have been dyed with luscious colors? Brilliant
Like I said their booth was stunning, a feast for the eyes.
Another update on what I saw at CHA tomorrow. I have to try and catch up on some sleep,
see you soon, Michelle McCosh
