Bag Class with Christine

Christine will guide you through making a Zippered Tote Bag with removable insert organizer inside.  You will need to bring your own fabric and sewing machine.

This is an easy tote bag assembly and finished bag size will be: 11” across by 13” high by 6” deep

* If you want to do some embellished work on the outside panels you can prepare ahead of time as we will be using class time for assembly only.

Supplies to bring:

Sewing machine

Pins or clover clips

Scissors

Thread to match your fabric

Your outside of the tote will be composed of 2 panels, you can use the same fabric for lower panel as for the handles to have a nice effect. So a total of 3 fabrics: lower panel, upper panel and interior fabric. Your organizer can be made of the same fabric as the top panel.

Tote Bag:

You will need three pieces of Fabric

Fabric A: 32”x 45”  Top Panel, Zipper Casing and inside Organizer

Fabric B: 41”x45”  Bottom Panel, Handles & Outside of the organizer

Fabric C: 19”x45”. Interior of Bag

2 yards of Pellon Fusible Stabilizer if 20 inches wide  (We have this for sale at the store)

One 16” separating zipper (that means the two zipper parts come apart like in a jacket)

Once you sign up we will send you cutting instructions with diagram to help.
