Mike Grecian is a fine Mixed Media artist that works with many mediums including Watercolor. This will be the first of many classes that Mike will be teaching for the store.
A bit about Mike:
After completing his MFA in drawing and painting from Northern Illinois University in 1975, Michael Grecian worked as a freelance artist in the Chicago area creating corporate logo design, illustration, and commissioned portraits for Dan Ryan Electric, and the Weinstein family. Originally an oil painter, he now works almost exclusively in watercolor and colored pencil, and is a member of the CPSA. He currently works very closely with the Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta and Savannah, the Art Institutes and a variety of schools in the Southeastern United States.
COLOR and SURFACE EXPLORATION
Bring your incredible enthusiasm and creativity! Try some new and innovative materials in water-media colors and gouaches… we will experiment on cold and hot press watercolor papers and yupo… to find out the textures you like, as well as understand how the surface we work on influences the effect and outcome of our color applications!
