Everything Scrapbook and Stamps is pleased to announce our themes for the 2017 ATC swap.
Don’t worry if you have never participated in an ATC Swap before, it is easy and there are only a few rules.
Your card must measure 2.5 by 3.5 inches and must have the following information on the back of the card:
- Your Name,
- Name of the Swap: (eg: Everything Scrapbook & Stamps “Tim Holtz Paint”)
- the number of the card in the series (i.e. card 1 of 6, card 2 of 6, etc)
- Contact information, either email or phone
- and the date
You will need to make 6 cards.
If you attend our swap in person we will be doing a make n take card using the following months technique. If you live out of town or are unable to attend you can mail your swap in to us. Please make sure to include a postage paid envelope. We will do the swap and mail your swapped cards back to you.
This year we have decided to do a technique series based on Industry Artists.
The interpretation is yours (does this artist remind you of a particular color, product or technique)
For instance Tim Holtz is known for his worn vintage look, the color brown and some seriously cool techniques. This artist is easy to think of something to do. and you probably already have his products in your stash. Pick one of his techniques and use his stamps or ephemera on top. Julie Nutting is know for her paper dolls. Karen Burniston is known for her Pop Ups. (so this card should use a Pop Up in some way)
Here is the list of Industry Artists
January – Tim Holtz
February – Seth Apter
March – Wendy Vecchi
April – Nathalie Kalbach
May- Julie Nutting
June- Karen Burniston
July – Dyan Reaveley
August – Teesha Moore
September – Andy Skinner
October – Anna Dabrowska
November – Dina Wakley
December – DJ Petitt
If in one particular month the artist does not fit your vibe or style then pick one of these two artists instead
Wild Cards: Catherine Moore or Michael DeMeng
Remember to send us 6 cards but most importantly remember to have fun !
What day of the month and what time?
Usually the last Saturday of the month. Time TBD
I want to do this this year, count me in and send the date. I will be there😘
Sounds like fun. Didn’t participate in 2016. Great theme using the artistd.
I know and they all have some kind of connection to the store!
Do all 6 cards need to be drastically different?
Or can we sort of do them assembly line style? 😛
Crystal:
Usually the cards are all the same, so assembley line is perfect
Michelle
I would like to participate
Great news Pam, our meeting is usually the last Saturday of each month. If you are in the area and can join us that would be great – if not just mail them and we will mail your swap back to you.
Sounds like fun !!! How do we sign up ??? I’ve been to the store…Friend of Judy Battista, I live in NY.
Laura, you just have to make sure we have your cards and a pre paid envelope to return them. Our meetings are usually the last weekend of every month. So if you aim to send them by mid month that will be plenty of time. Look forward to you joining us.
