In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to create unique, artistic mail art envelopes and then bind them into a one-of-a-kind book. Using a variety of techniques, you’ll transform simple envelopes into vibrant works of art with paints, stamps, stencils, collages, and other creative embellishments. The possibilities are endless as you explore ways to express yourself through color, texture, and design.
Once your envelopes are beautifully decorated, you will learn the process of binding them together into a cohesive book. The final product will be a personalized, functional piece of art that can be used as a journal, sketchbook, or even a handmade gift. I am using mine to store all the little faux postage that I make.
To help you continue your creative journey at home, each participant will receive a die that allows you to easily create more envelopes in various shapes and sizes. This handy tool will help you make countless mail art creations long after the class is over.
