you – UNBOXED: A REPURPOSED JOURNAL.
Come paint, mark, and etch alongside of me as we create a journal that boasts a richly painted
and art-marked cover complete with chunky recycled signatures. As we build the book, we will
talk about color, repurposed tools, layering, art marks, and how allowing our work to unfold organically
can teach us more about how to recognize ourselves in our work. As we create
alongside of one another we will learn to embrace the movement in our work as we explore
layering color with my favorite mark-making techniques.
Paint your way into new ideas as we unearth the secret to painting in reverse, and practice the
art of covering things up. Watch as, layer after layer, your journal comes to life and you discover
the joy of working small. As a bonus you will create a box that complements your journal
and can hold all of your favorite art tools for easy on-the-go creating!
