Color Mixing and Applications @ Everything Scrapbook & Stamps

Mike Grecian is a fine Mixed Media artist that works with many mediums including Watercolor.  This will be the first of many classes that Mike will be teaching for the store.

A bit about Mike:

After completing his MFA in drawing and painting from Northern Illinois University in 1975, Michael Grecian worked as a freelance artist in the Chicago area creating corporate logo design, illustration, and commissioned portraits for Dan Ryan Electric, and the Weinstein family. Originally an oil painter, he now works almost exclusively in watercolor and colored pencil, and is a member of the CPSA. He currently works very closely with the Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta and Savannah, the Art Institutes and a variety of schools in the Southeastern United States.

Whether you work in oils, acrylics, or watercolor, color is color!!!   Understanding color and using color to strengthen your visual statement is very important.  We will work with juxtaposed color application, color temperatures, and color harmonies!  Many times a few simple changes in the colors we choose can make or break a painting.   Included will be a discussion on color theory as to color, hue, and intensity in our paintings.   Provided will be primary mixing colors that we will use to achieve endless color possibilities. See how applying color can visually help show depth, distance, and volume in your paintings!

All materials are provided.  If you sign up for both classes  you will receive a $15 store credit

Let's hear from you . . .
